Furnishing and Equipment

In what style are the houses furnished?

"Traditional Colonial" might be the right description. A lot of antique furniture, traditional Lloyd Loom, mahogany, teak and rattan.

Is the property well maintained?

We are constantly painting and repairing. We do our best, considering the harsh tropical maritime climate. Don't forget we are a very small island nation and not everything is easily obtainable. For example, when our lawn tractor broke down, it took two months to obtain spares by air freight from the US.

Are there shady areas to sit outside?

There are large covered verandahs. The pool house has bamboo blinds to shade against the afternoon sun.

Are there loungers for the pool?

Do you have chairs for the beach?

Is there a hammock?

Do you have a barbeque?

Yes a permanent one in the garden. Charcoal is supplied, but check with our housekeeper to ensure there is a stock.

Do you have snorkelling equipment?

Do you have tennis racquets and balls?

There are some old racquets and balls in a cupboard. If tennis is important to you, please bring your own.

Do you have books, tapes, CD's and DVD's?

There are a lot of books left behind by previous guests. There are a few CD's. Best to bring your own CDs and tapes. We do not have a DVD player.
