THIS PARADISE |
|
Bright light dawns on the side of the hill Sleep drifts away as the cock crows shrill Swim before breakfast - healthy and wise The start of another day in Paradise.... Decisions here take longer - just one before noon Lie on the terrace? or down by the pool? We're doing nothing again - there's a surprise It's a difficult life when you're in Paradise. Donna looks after us with skill and great care We watch in amazement - that smile and she's there She's efficient and friendly, fantastically nice How can anyone work here in Paradise? Lunch is a problem - when, where and what? Sort of just happens - don't need a lot Drunk on the view (and cocktails and ice!) Day lazes onward in Paradise The terrace is still - a haven of peace The gentle breezes, the hum of the bees Elsewhere they'd be saying - ah yes, but at what price? But this is a great gift, this Paradise The sun sinks lower, impossibly grand Watched by four friends, drinks in hand Who're grateful and thankful to two very nice guys For making it possible, this Paradise ......
