How is the accommodation laid out ?

  • We have the Main House all on one level with two bedrooms with verandahs front and rear, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen and a very large covered outdoor living and dining area.
  • The Guest House is a discreet distance away. On the main deck, is the master bedroom with indoor living area and bathroom, a kitchen and a large outdoor covered living and dining area. Downstairs, is another bedroom with bathroom. This bedroom is not quite as comfortable as the others.

We are only a small group. Is the property too large and expensive for us?

  • We hope not! When we increased the accommodation from two to four bedrooms, we kept our basic weekly rates the same, only adding to the cost if the extra accommodation is used. We have many couples staying on their own.

If we only occupy the Main House, could there be another party in the Guest House?

  • No. The entire property is exclusive to one party at a time.

What if we are two couples who don't want to be together all the time?

  • Perfect! Have a house each! It will cost you a little more. Tell us, or we will assume you will share the Main House.

Can I find a private spot to be on my own?

  • Yes. There are lots of verandahs and quiet corners to hide yourself away from your friends or family.

How many bedrooms are there and what size beds are there?

  • In the Main House there are two identical bedrooms each equipped with two double beds.
  • In the Guest House there is a large master bedroom with matching double and single beds, and a garden level bedroom with a pair of linked 3ft divans, and a third single divan.

What are the bathrooms like?

  • One to each bedroom equipped with shower hand basin, WC and shaver socket. Plenty of water pressure.

What are the kitchen arrangements?

  • There is a kitchen in each house, fully equipped.

Is it difficult to get around in a wheel chair?

  • Being on a hillside, we cannot avoid steps. There are two steps up from the driveway in to the Main House which is then all on one level. If you intend to bring a wheel chair, please advise us in advance, and we will have our carpenter instal a short ramp up the steps. If the lawns are dry enough, it is possible to wheel a chair to the pool area, avoiding steps. Likewise, if the ground is not too soft, it is possible to drive a vehicle to the pool area.

Is the property suitable for wedding parties and entertaining?

  • Our new kitchen is large, with plenty of counter top space for preparing food for large numbers.
  • The owners and previous guests have entertained very large parties on the huge verandah. Plenty of space for musicians and to set up a bar.
